These Terms govern your use of Solfaforge, including the sol-fa playground, your score library, songbooks, and exports. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Solfaforge.

01

Your account

  • You must provide an accurate email address and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Solfaforge.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
02

Acceptable use

You agree to use Solfaforge lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you will not:

  • Upload or publish content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
  • Post unlawful, harmful, harassing, or abusive material.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data.
  • Use automated means to overload the service beyond normal human use.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when publishing community scores.
03

Your content

You retain ownership of the scores, lyrics, and songbooks you create. By saving content you grant us the limited license needed to store, process, render, back up, and — where your plan makes scores public — display it within Solfaforge and to other users you choose to share with.

You are responsible for ensuring you hold the rights to any music, lyrics, or arrangements you upload, including works still under copyright. Solfaforge does not provide legal advice about whether a particular arrangement may be shared.

04

Community scores

Public scores may be browsed and used by other Solfaforge users as reference material within the service. Do not publish sensitive personal information in score titles, lyrics, or annotations. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

05

Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your profile; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Per-export charges, where they apply to your plan, are billed as you use them.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
  • If a payment fails we may suspend paid features until billing is restored.
06

Service availability

We work to keep Solfaforge available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. Scheduled maintenance and factors outside our control may occasionally interrupt access.

07

Our intellectual property

Solfaforge, its name, logo, software, visual design, and documentation are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the service normally.

08

Feedback

If you send suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant us the right to use it to improve the product without obligation to compensate you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

09

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. On termination your right to use the service ends, and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10

Disclaimers and liability

Solfaforge is a creative tool, not a legal or music-rights clearance service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, except where law does not allow that limitation.

11

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Springfield, Illinois will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-product notice. Continued use of Solfaforge after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
